e-Cycle June Edition

JUNE 2010

It's been a big month for Australian cyclists and we join all cycling fans in congratulating reigning World Champion Cadel Evans for reaching the top of the world rankings. Evans heads a list of Australians who have impressed in international races over the past month.

Michael Rogers fought off all challengers to claim the overall honours and while Brett Lancaster claimed a stage win in the Tour of California. In the Giro d'Italia Australian riders collected the points, mountain and best young rider jerseys through the efforts of Cadel Evans, Matt Lloyd and Richie Porte respectively. Lloyd and Matt Goss also scored stage wins and last weekend Goss claimed another victory, this time in America's biggest one day race.

Team Jayco-Skins' Michael Matthews has added to his tally of stage wins for the season with wins in Japan and Norway. Our road women have also been scoring results with Amanda Spratt claiming two wins in a week in Europe.

In MTB world ranked number one Jared Graves has continued his phenomenal form with another win in the 4X World Cup Series.

Our Para-cyclists have also been on the podium with Sue Powell, Claire McLean and Michael Gallagher performing well in Europe.

We're looking forward to more great cycling action in coming months and whether you're on the bike, on the side of the road cheering or watching all the action online or on the TV we hope you enjoy it as well.
