SEPTEMBER 2010

Dear Supporter,

What a huge month it's been for Australian cyclists both here and on foreign shores.

Caroline Buchanan, Sam Hill and Troy Brosnan all claimed gold and Jared Graves silver as Australia topped the medal table at the MTB World Championships in Canada. On the MTB World Cup circuit Graves was crowned four cross Series Champion after an emphatic win in the final round.

In Austria Lorraine Shutz and Daniel Brickell were crowned Masters World Champions and Federico Mason collected a bronze medal while our Para-cyclists bagged three medals and had a run in with a squirrel in Canada.

Australia was again the team to beat at the Junior World Championships. We topped the medal table on the track for the fourth straight year as our talented teenagers brought home 7 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. The team also claimed silver and bronze on the road.

Australia's Commonwealth Games cyclists have been named and are in training in Europe preparing for Delhi.

Genesys Wealth Advisers leads the teams classification of the National Road Series with the fourth of six rounds getting underway this weekend in Tasmania. In the men's competition Cameron Peterson is on top with two rounds remaining and Joanne Hogan has an insurmountable lead with only one race left in the women's series.

Our cyclists have also been scoring wins on the road. Check out the news section of the website to stay up to date on Aussie performances.

The stars of world cycling are packing their bags and heading to Australia for this month's UCI Road World Championships in Melbourne & Geelong. The 'Australian Cyclones' team has been finalised and we encourage all our members and fans to get down to the event to support the home team. To keep track of the team follow them on Twitter through twitter.com/CyclonesHQ and via #Cyclones2010. You can also send messages to the team via email cycloneshq@cycling.org.au.

We hope you enjoy another bumper month of cycling action both on and off your bike.
