Super-drome set for super finale
2011/12 National Junior Track Series.
One hundred and twenty junior track riders will verge on Adelaide's Super Drome on Tuesday for the final of the National Junior Track Series.
Part of the Santos Tour Down Under week, five hours of fast, action packed racing including sprint and endurance events will commence at 5pm.
Brunswick Cycling Club and Greater Sydney will fight it out for the best performed team title. Lara Batkin (St George CC) looks set to take the JW17 honours from Lauren Perry (Launceston CC). All the headliners of the series including Cameron Scott (Wagga Wagga), Jack Edwards (Greater Sydney) and Ruby Roseman-Gannon (Brunswick) have flown in from interstate.
Singer Declan Sykes will preform two songs as entertainment for the juniors. AIS scholarships holders and world renown cyclists Kaarle McCulloch and Matt Glaetzer will be on hand to provide advice to Australia's next crop of track cycling stars.
The NJTS has been a five round event with legs in Sydney, Melbourne Launceston, Perth and Adelaide, with over 250 junior riders from forty clubs from across Australia, having tasted the National Junior Track Series.
