2010 Australian Masters Road Cycling Championships

The Australian Masters Road Championships in Ballarat, Victoria are being promoted by Cycling Australia (CA) in partnership with Cycle Sport Victoria (CSV)

 

FINAL ENTRY LIST - Please check your entry is correct and contact rob.ingall@cycling.org.au if you require. If you plan on not starting a particular event that you have entered your early notice is appreciated to the race secretary so as adjustments can be made. Please download the entry list here.

 

The 2010 Australian Masters Road Championships will be structured as follows:

Thursday 23 September - Registration, Technical & Rider/Support staff meetings.  Registration will be open from 15:00pm until 18:00pm on Thursday 23rd September at Ballarat Golf Club 1800 Sturt Street Ballarat.

Friday 24 September – Individual Time Trials (All) Course Profile Registration will be open from 07:30am until 12:00pm on Friday 24th September at Ballarat Golf Club 1800 Sturt Street Ballarat. The start line will be in front of the Golf Club.

Start times for ITT will be posted shortly. We will be starting at 9:00am with WMAS1 and working through to WMAS8 thence MMAS9 to MMAS1. Award presentations for the ITT placegetters will be conducted at approximately 16:00pm at Ballarat Golf Club function room. All placegetters are required to be dressed in their cycling race gear. Placegetters who are not appropriately dressed may be denied a podium presentation.

 

Saturday 25 September – Criteriums (All) Course Profile Registration will be open from 8.00am until 12.00pm on Saturday 25th at Victoria Park, Ballarat.

Criterium start times. subject to change. Please recheck at time of registration.

MMAS 7, 8 & 9. - 30 minutes + 3 laps

WMAS 6, 7 & 8. - 30 minutes + 3 laps

MMAS6 30 minutes + 3 laps

MMAS 5 - 30 minutes + 3 laps

MMAS4 - 40 minutes + 3 laps

MMAS3 - 40 minutes + 3 laps

WMAS 4 & 5 - 30 minutes + 3 laps

WMAS 1, 2 & 3 - 30 minutes + 3 laps 

MMAS 1 & 2 - 40 minutes + 3 laps.

Award presentations will be conducted in Victoria Park at approximately 10:10am, 12:35pm and 4:00pm for the preceeding 3 races in each block. All placegetters must present for award presentations in their race gear. 

 

Sunday 26 September – Rest Day for the AMRC due to Herald Sun World Cycling Classic Ballarat *Volunteers are needed. This event will be huge with over 200 of the world's best riders already entered. If you are able to assist please contact Sean Muir at sean.muir@cycling.org.au

  

Monday 27 September – Road Race (Course Profile) Registration will be open from 7:30am at Ballarat Racecourse.

MMAS1 - 117.5 klms (5 laps)

MMAS5 - 70.5 klms (3 laps)

WMAS 4 & 5 - 70.5 klms

MMAS2 - 94 klms (4 laps)

MMAS6 - 70.5 klms

MMAS9+ - 47 klms

Last rider to finish by 3:30pm

 

Tuesday 28 September - Road Race (Course Profile) Registration will be open from 7:30am at Ballarat Racecourse

MMAS7 - 70.5 klms

WMAS 6, 7 & 8 - 47 klms

MMAS4 - 70.5 klms

WMAS 1, 2 & 3 - 70.5 klms

MMAS8 - 47 klms

If you wish to withdraw from this event please email info@cycling.org.au. However please note, that refunds will only be provided if you present a medical certificate and will incur an $11 administration fee.

Presentations will be conducted each day ASAP after the completion of racing

Licence Requirements

It is the responsibility of the entrant to have the correct licence to race a Championship (open) event in Australia. Entry will be refused if an entrant cannot produce their racing licence or their licence category and/or UCI code is insufficient. Refunds for events will not be given in the event of a competitor not having a sufficient racing licence. Examples of a sufficient licence include: an ICU Cycling Australia Master Category or Elite category with a UCI code of Domestic or International valid until 31st December 2010; Any overseas licence issued by UCI/ICU with a UCI code of International valid until 31st December 2010 with rider photograph. Examples of INVALID LICENCES include licences issued by the AVCC or other non-CA or non-UCI bodies; licences issued by a non-Australian ICU/UCI body with a UCI code of Domestic (such a licence only covers racing in the country of issue).

The Championships will be conducted under CA Technical Regulations governing Australian Masters Road Championships.
